Last week PNB Law Firm provided a new legal business column to the investment website indonesia-investments.com. This column further elaborates on the previous column regarding the changes implemented by the Indonesian Investment Board (BKPM) with regard to the Principle License (Izin Prinsip). This column discusses BKPM regulation number 15 of 2015 on the Guidelines and Procedures for Obtaining Investment Licenses and Non-Licenses (“New BKPM Regulation”). The New BKPM Regulation sets new procedures for several types of investment licenses (Izin Usaha), including the general business license, the business license for expansion, merger, amendment, and license for representative office. For non-licenses the New BKPM Regulation sets new procedures for import licenses and work permits for foreign workers.
